Install and weld in center roof paneling - AR65.10-P-1000-04ESA

MODEL 212.2 without CODE 413 (Panoramic glass roof with top sliding roof) 

1. Install center roof paneling (1), fit with spacer blocks and fix in place.

   When removing, observe specified dimensions and position of spacer blocks.

2. Drill Ø 6.7 mm holes in center roof paneling (1) and countersink (areas A₁ and A₂ ).

3. Remove center roof paneling (1).
4. Deburr rivet holes on both sides.
5. Apply sealant to rear roof frame and roof bow.

6. Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.

7. Install center roof paneling (1), fit with spacer blocks and fix in place.
8. Center roof paneling (1) (areas A, B, C and D).

   The new resistance spot welds must be positioned at exactly the same position as the previous resistance spot welds, because the areas below were glued previously (areas A and B).

   Otherwise the required minimum strength of the weld joint is not ensured.

9. Rivet center roof paneling (1) with 6.4x14 countersunk rivets (areas E and F).
