Remove wheel well - AR62.20-P-1200-21CW

MODEL 204, 207, 212, 218 Version with locking plate

Dimension: 

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on model 204.0.

  1. Coarsely cut front wheel well (1) at separating points (areas A and B).
  2. Scribe separating point on front wheel well (1) (area C).

    IMPORTANT Separation point is only needed at left front wheel well (1).

  3. Cut front wheel well (1) at separating point (area C).

    IMPORTANT Separation point is only needed at left front wheel well (1).

  4. Expose spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas D, E and F).
  5. Cut out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas D and F).
  6. Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (area E).
  7. Expose spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas G, H, I, and J).
  8. Cut out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas G and H).
  9. Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas I and J).

  10. Expose spot welds in inner area of main floor panel (areas K and L).
  11. Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds in inner area of main floor panel (areas K and L).
  12. Expose spot welds on crossmember (3) (areas M, M1, N, O and P) or separating point (area O1).
    1. 13.1)  Cut out spot welds on crossmember (3) (areas M, M1, N, O and P).

      IMPORTANT Except code (P98) Black Series.

    2. 13.2)  Cut out spot welds on crossmember (3) (areas M, M1, N and P) and separate separating point (O1).

      IMPORTANT With code (P98) Black Series.

      IMPORTANT Perform following operation step 14 only on model 207, 212 and model 218.

  13. Heat front wheel well (1) in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Crosshatched areas can be bonded.

  14. Heat crossmember (3) in cross-hatched area.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched area is bonded.

  15. Remove damaged front wheel well (1) and crossmember (3).

  16. Expose spot welds on upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) (areas Q, R, S, T, U, V, W and X).
  17. Cut out spot welds on upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) (areas Q, R, S, T, U and V).
  18. Drill through spot welds on top front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) to Ø 6.7 mm (areas W and X).
  19. Heat upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded.

  20. Remove upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5).

  21. Expose spot welds on end plate (2) (areas Y, Z, AA, AB and AC).
  22. Cut out spot welds on end plate (2) (areas Y, AA and AC).
  23. Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds on end plate (2) (areas Z and AB).
  24. Heat end plate (2) in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded.

  25. Remove end plate (2).
  26. Grind mating surfaces on body down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces (areas AD and AE).

    IMPORTANT Bonding surface in area AE only on model 207, 212 and model 218.

  27. Remove shavings and drill chips.

  28. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    IMPORTANT Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint to prevent adhesion problems (areas AD and AE).

    IMPORTANT Bonding surface in area AE only on model 207, 212 and model 218.
