The following steps are shown on model 204.0.
- Coarsely cut front wheel well (1) at separating points (areas A and B).
- Scribe separating point on front wheel well (1) (area C).
Separation point is only needed at left front wheel well (1).
- Cut front wheel well (1) at separating point (area C).
Separation point is only needed at left front wheel well (1).
- Expose spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas D, E and F).
- Cut out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas D and F).
- Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (area E).
- Expose spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas G, H, I, and J).
- Cut out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas G and H).
- Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds on front wheel well (1) (areas I and J).
- Expose spot welds in inner area of main floor panel (areas K and L).
- Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds in inner area of main floor panel (areas K and L).
- Expose spot welds on crossmember (3) (areas M, M1, N, O and P) or separating point (area O1).

Perform following operation step 14 only on model 207, 212 and model 218.

Cut out spot welds on crossmember (3) (areas M, M1, N, O and P).
- Heat front wheel well (1) in crosshatched areas.
Crosshatched areas can be bonded.
- Heat crossmember (3) in cross-hatched area.
Cross-hatched area is bonded.
- Remove damaged front wheel well (1) and crossmember (3).
- Expose spot welds on upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) (areas Q, R, S, T, U, V, W and X).
- Cut out spot welds on upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) (areas Q, R, S, T, U and V).
- Drill through spot welds on top front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) to Ø 6.7 mm (areas W and X).
- Heat upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5) in cross-hatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded.
- Remove upper front longitudinal member sections (4 and 5).
- Expose spot welds on end plate (2) (areas Y, Z, AA, AB and AC).
- Cut out spot welds on end plate (2) (areas Y, AA and AC).
- Use Ø 6.7 mm to drill out spot welds on end plate (2) (areas Z and AB).
- Heat end plate (2) in cross-hatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded.
- Remove end plate (2).
- Grind mating surfaces on body down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas
Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces (areas AD and AE).
Bonding surface in area AE only on model 207, 212 and model 218.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint to prevent adhesion problems (areas AD and AE).
