Install and weld in wheel well - AR62.20-P-1200-17CWA

MODEL 204, 207, 212, 218 Version without striker  

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on model 204.0.

  1. Install front wheel well (1), fit and fix in place with straightening tool.

    IMPORTANT Push new part below remaining piece on body (arrows) when replacing left wheel well.

  2. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in front wheel well (1) (areas C and D).

  3. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes on front wheel well (1) (areas E, F, G and H).

  4. Install crossmember (3), fit and fix in place.
  5. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in inner area of main floor and on crossmember (3) (areas I, J, K, M, N and O).
  6. Remove front wheel well (1) and crossmember (3).
  7. Deburr rivet holes on both sides
  8. Coat insides of those riveted joints that will not also be bonded with zinc dust paint.

    IMPORTANT Perform following operation step 9 only on model 207, 212 and model 218.

  9. Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched area (area GH).

  10. Install front wheel well (1), fit and fix in place.
  11. Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched area (area X1 ).

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint.

    Otherwise adhesion problems can occur (area X1 ).

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

    IMPORTANT Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.

  12. Install crossmember (3), fit and fix in place.
  13. Rivet crossmember (3) with Ø 6.5 12.5 mm rivets (areas P, Q, R and T).
    1. 14.1)  Crossmember (3) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area N).

      IMPORTANT Except code (P98) Black Series.

    2. 14.2)  Crossmember (3) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area N1).

      IMPORTANT With code (P98) Black Series.

  14. Crossmember (3) SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area S).

  15. Rivet front wheel well (1) with Ø 6.5 14.5 mm rivets (areas V, W, X, Y, Z and AA).

  16. Front wheel well (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas AF and AG).
  17. Rivet front wheel well (1) with Ø 6.5 14.5 mm rivets (areas AB and AC).
