Wear cotton gloves. Ensure that no fingerprints are present in the area of the glue bead (1). To prevent adhesion problems when installing the window, keep the bonding surface free of dust, oil, grease, wax, dirt residues and other adhesive substances.
- Cut down existing glue bead (1) on body flange to a height of approx. 1 to 2 mm. Wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
Leave max. 2 mm of present adhesive bead (1) Remove glue residues from glue beads (1) not completely cut off.
- Repair paint damage on body
- Apply primer in gluing area if glue residues are not present
