Retrofit illuminated door sill molding - AZ82.20-P-0001EL

MODEL 218.3 (except 218.374/375/376/392), 218.9 (except 218.974/975/976/992)

	Remove
1	Move back driver seat and front passenger seat
2	Disconnect battery ground line
			AR54.10-P-0003EW
3	Remove left and right front interior door sill	When installing the interior door sill, make sure that the ribbon cable of the illuminated door sill molding (1) is lying close against the panel edge of the entrance.
4	Detach edge guard on left and right in area of door sill and A-pillar paneling	When installing the edge guard, make sure that the ribbon cable of the illuminated door sill molding (1) is lying close against the panel edge of the entrance.
5	Remove paneling from bottom of left and right A-pillar
6	Remove cover below right dashboard
7	Remove cover below left of instrument panel
8	Loosen floor covering on left and right-hand side of footwell and fold back
9	Detach front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module and place to one side

	Install
10	Retrofit illuminated door sill moldings (1)	MODEL 218.3/9	AZ82.20-P-0001-01EL
		Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
11	Retrofit illuminated door sill molding wiring harness	MODEL 218.3/9	AZ82.20-P-0001-04EL
		New passenger car wiring harness repair kit	Figure
		Wiring harness repair kit, basic	Figure
12	Install remaining parts
	Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)
13	Attach "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0001EL " note under field organization texts to design group 68
	Check
14	Perform function check on illuminated door sill moldings (1)	Opening the doors activates the illuminated door sill moldings (1). The illuminated door sill moldings (1) are switched off approximately 5 minutes after the door has been opened.
