MODEL 168, 169, 245, 414
Only install brake hoses which are approved by Mercedes-Benz.
Insert the brake hose (5) into the bracket such that the journal engages into the gearing of the bracket (arrow), here the brake hose (5) must not be twisted.
The brake hose (5) must not slip out of the holder when screwing-in and tightening the brake line (6) to ensure that the brake hose (5) is not subsequently twisted.
Make sure that retaining clip (5a) is seated properly.
Model 168, 414: The brake hose (5) in all driving situations must have a minimum distance of approx. 15 mm to other axle components.
The brake hose must not exhibit any signs of chafing at full steering angle to the right and left or during compression and rebound.
Model 169, 245: After installation, the brake hose (5) must have a minimum distance of 5 mm to fixed and 12 mm to rotating axle components.
When in a ready-to-drive condition, force free and tension free contact of the brake hose (5) with the suspension strut/brake hose clip is permissible for a full steering angle to the right and left.
