For bolted connections with aluminum bolts, the aluminum bolts must always be replaced once they have been used. However, before new aluminum bolts are screwed in, the mating thread has to be cleaned thoroughly.
Otherwise, the threaded connection may be released or work its way loose unintentionally.
When releasing bolted connections with aluminum bolts the sudden loosening torque may present a risk of injury.
