Potential risks
Risk of injury
When performing work on body parts, major assembly parts and suspension parts that, due to their manufacturing process or their finishing stage, have not yet been deburred, there is the risk of cutting, ripping and scraping body parts on non-deburred edges.
Safety precautions/instructions
- Wear protective gloves.
- Deburr repair panels and edges that have been cut.
- Avoid applying too much pressure when working, otherwise there is the danger of slipping.
First aid measures:
Take the affected person out of the hazard area.
Treat the wound to stop the bleeding. If any arteries have been cut, the flow of blood to that area must be stopped (by applying a tourniquet above the injured area).
Consult a physician immediately in the case of serious injuries (heavy bleeding, severed limbs, etc.), signs of blood poisoning or if the person is unconscious.
