Notes on retrofitting code (523) MB Audio 20 radio

No antenna amplifiers are installed. Excellent radio reception is however guaranteed.

The yellow antenna line (2) is not present.

If the customer still wishes to retrofit the antenna amplifier, a great deal more additional work must be expected.

Notes on retrofitting code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio

For vehicle with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio two antenna amplifiers and a left antenna amplifier module are already installed in the vehicle.

The yellow antenna line (2) has to be reconnected to the new radio and navigation unit (A2/56).

For vehicles with code (533) Front and rear speakers -without radio- or with code (520) Audio 5 CD radio no antenna amplifiers are installed. Excellent radio reception is however guaranteed.

The yellow antenna line (2) is not present.

If the customer still wishes to retrofit the antenna amplifier, a great deal more additional work must be expected.

Notes on retrofitting code (527) COMAND APS (with navigation)

The green plug socket (1) on the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) is for TV reception and not affected by the retrofit.

On vehicles with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio or with code (525) Audio 50 APS radio, two antenna amplifiers and a left antenna amplifier module are already installed in the vehicle.

The yellow antenna line (2) has to be reconnected to the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3).
