MODEL 211

IMPORTANT

IMPORTANT Depending on the vehicle equipment there may be one or two connectors for the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) optical fiber.

The end of each optical fiber has an identification label with the number of the optical fiber or the number of the optical fiber is printed on to the end of the optical fiber. Make sure that the individual fiber optic cables are correctly reassigned.

The numbering of the optical fiber at the optical fiber (MOST) connectors is different depending on the vehicle equipment. The MOST fiber optic cable takes the form of a ring. When retrofitting a ring subscriber the optical fiber (MOST) connectors must always be reassigned so that the numbering is ascending.

Example:

Actual status

First optical fiber (MOST) connector

(Numbered pair "4" and "13")

Second optical fiber (MOST) connector

(Numbered pair "19" and "37")

Procedure

IMPORTANT If at least two optical fiber (MOST) connectors are available, the connector with the higher numbered pair is to be detached.

The optical fiber (MOST) connector with the lowest numbered pair "4" and "13" is not required.

Set status

First optical fiber (MOST) connector

(Numbered pair "4" and "13")

Second optical fiber (MOST) connector

(Numbered pair "19" and "25")

Third (new) optical fiber (MOST) connector

(Numbered pair "31" and "37")
