Notes on COMAND software status - AH82.60-P-0001-01A

MODEL 215, 220 with CODE 352 (COMAND operating and display system) with APS of 3rd device generation

The COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3n1) with software release Q15 is TV-compatible.

Devices with software release Q14 to Q10 can be updated using a special Update-CD to software release Q15.

(As of 02/2000 software release Q3 will be available as an Update CD.)

In new vehicles (as of 08.99) devices with Q-status Q1 and Q2 are installed, these devices are next generation COMAND devices. They are always TV-compatible.

An update is only necessary if the software release is to be rectified in the event of a malfunction.

Check the software release:

Remove COMAND operating, display and controller unit. Search for a round adhesive label bearing the software release on the right side of the device.
