	Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. 	Remove
1	Remove left rail	When removing the fuel injectors (1) on left cylinder head.

2	Remove right rail	When removing the fuel injectors (1) on right cylinder head. Engine 178 in model 190	AR07.03-P-1012MNB

3	Remove freed up fuel injectors (1) from the cylinder head	Engine oil which comes out during disassembly of the rail or from the fuel injectors (1) is safe. The rail or the fuel injectors (1) can be re-used. In case of jammed fuel injectors (1). ↓ Remove fuel injectors (1).	AR07.03-P-0004-03MM

4	Check removed fuel injectors (1) for external damage	For damage to the stems or to the mounts of the sealing package. ↓ Replace fuel injectors (1).
	Install
5	Read off the injector quantity compensation (IMA) coding on fuel injectors (1) and take a note of it	For installation of new fuel injectors (1).
6	Replace sealing packages for the fuel injectors (1) on rail		AR07.03-P-0004-02MM

7	Replace sealing rings (2) and seals (4) on the fuel injectors (1) to be installed
8	Replace sealing rings (3) for the fuel injectors (1) to be installed		AR07.03-P-0004-01MM
		The fuel injectors (1) must be installed immediately after calibration of the sealing rings (3) since the sealing rings (3) can swell due to the influence of air humidity. The sealing rings (3) will otherwise be damaged during assembly. Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A

9	Attach fuel injectors (1) to be installed to the rail	Replace hold-down tool.
10	Position fuel injectors (1) to be installed together with the rail in cylinder head	The fuel injectors (1 must always be installed together with the rail.
11	Install left rail	When installing the fuel injectors (1) on left cylinder head. Engine 178 in model 190	AR07.03-P-1011MNB

13	Store injector quantity compensation (IMA) coding in ME-SFI [ME] control unit	For installation of new fuel injectors (1).

14	Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 15	Carry out engine test run, checking the engine for proper operation and leaktightness of the fuel system
