| 1 | Remove warning triangle (5) from warning triangle bracket | ||
| 2 | Remove hazard warning triangle bracket (5) | ||
| 3 | Remove hinge covers (2) | ||
| 4 | Unclip retaining clips (19) and detach paneling (20) until electrical connector on ambient lap and warning lamp (6) is accessible | Figure | |
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connectors from ambient lamp and warning lamp (6) | ||
| 6 | Disconnect electrical connectors from trunk lid/liftgate control button (25) | Model 205.3 with code 881 (Remote boot lid closing) |

| 8 | Unscrew stop buffers (22) | ||
| 9 | Unclip retaining clips (23) and remove paneling (24) | Figure | |

| 11 | Unscrew stop buffers (22) until trunk lid makes contact with stop buffers (22) when closed |
