Preparing Cross Member Above Rear Axle For Installation - Ar64.20-P-1300-08LW

- Grind down cast pins on rear axle crossmember (1) on right and left in crosshatched areas.
To ensure proper installation (in direction of arrow) of the rear axle crossmember (1), partially grind down cast pins.
- Grind mating surfaces on rear axle crossmember (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Grind mating surfaces on rear axle crossmember (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
- Grind mating surfaces on rear axle crossmember top section (2) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
- Grind mating surfaces on left rear end plate (3) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
Observe preliminary treatment of bonding surface.
Left rear end plate (3), inside
- Mark separating point on left front end plate (6) and cut (area E).
Transfer separation point from vehicle.
- Grind mating surfaces on left front end plate (6) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces (areas G).
- Grind mating surfaces on right rear end plate (4) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
Observe preliminary treatment of bonding surface.
Right rear end plate (4), inside
- Mark separating point on right front end plate (5) and cut (area F).
Transfer separation point from vehicle.
- Grind mating surfaces on right front end plate (5) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces (areas H).
