REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove charger feed socket flap. Model 205.047/147 AR54.10-P-5110LWH
2 Remove left rear lamp unit and right rear lamp unit. Model 205.0/1, 213.0/1 AR82.10-P-4905LW
    Model 205.3/4 AR82.10-P-4731CLW
3 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1002LWG
4 Disconnect electrical connectors (22, 23) and expose electrical wiring harnesses (24, 25). Model 205.0/3/4
with code U78 (AMG sports exhaust system)
 
5 Unscrew bolts (2).    
6 Remove all expansion rivets from rear bumper (1) at bottom. IMPORTANT The number of expansion rivets can vary according to equipment/motorization.

7 Remove expansion rivets (4) from fender liners (5, 6). SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool Fig 1
8 Press fender liners (5, 6) to side and remove expansion rivets (26). SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool Fig 1
9 Unscrew screws (7).    
10 Unclip covers (11, 12) in lower area. SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 2
11 Loosen trims (9, 10) in rear area and press to side. Model 205.0/1 AR68.30-P-4800LW

12 Unscrew nuts (13).    
13 Unscrew nuts (27). Model 205.0/1  
14 Unclip rear bumper (1) from rear fenders (14, 15) and in area of rear lamp units in direction of arrow.    
15 Loosen trim (17) until electrical connectors (19) are accessible. Model 205.0/1/3/4

16 Push back foam sleeves (18) and disconnect electrical connectors (19). Model 205.0/1/3/4

17 Pull grommet (20) and rear bumper electrical wiring harness (21) out of body. Model 205.0/1/3/4

18 Unclip rear bumper (1) from holding lugs (16) on rear fenders (14, 15). Model 205.0/1  
19 Remove rear bumper (1) until electrical connectors are accessible. Model 213.0 (except 213.050), 213.1

20 Disconnect electrical connectors from rear bumper (1). Model 213.0 (except 213.050), 213.1

21 Remove rear bumper (1). IMPORTANT Helper required.  
22 Install in the reverse order.
