| 1 | Commission rear SAM control unit (N10/8). | When replacing the rear SAM control unit (N10/8). | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Remove rear trunk floor. | ||
| 4 | Remove luggage compartment well cover. | ||
| 5 | Release electrical wiring harness (4) from bracket (5). | ||

| 7 | Release lower electrical connector (6), remove from bracket (5) together with upper electrical connector (6) and place to one side. | ||
| 8 | Remove rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) from bracket (5) and place to one side with lines attached. | ||
| 9 | Unscrew nuts (7). | ||
| 10 | Place bracket (5) to one side with control units connected. | ||
| 11 | Disconnect electrical connectors from rear SAM control unit (N10/8). | The number of electrical connectors may vary depending on the equipment. |

| 12 | Remove screw/bolt (8). | ||
| 13 | Guide rear SAM control unit (N10/8) out of holder (5). | ||
| 14 | Install in the reverse order. |
