Prepare Complete Rear Fender For Installation - Ar63.50-P-1401-02LWR

Model 205.4 

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

  1. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  2. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  3. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (area A).

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

  4. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  5. Remove grinding dust.
  6. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
