Partially Install Inner Side Wall With Outer Rear Wheelhouse And Weld In - Ar63.10-P-6050-03CLW

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Install inner C-pillar side wall (1) and reinforcement (2) and fit.
- Install C-pillar.
- Install rear fender with portal bracket and fit.
- Fix inner C-pillar side wall (1) and reinforcement (2) in place.
- Remove portal bracket and rear fender.
- Remove C-pillar.
- Drill rivet holes on inner C-pillar side wall (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas A and B).
- Remove C-pillar inner side wall (1) and reinforcement (2).
- Deburr rivet holes on inner C-pillar side wall (1) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Install inner C-pillar side wall (1) and reinforcement (2) and fix in place.
- Rivet inner C-pillar side wall (1) with Ø 6.4x12 rivet (areas D).
- Inner C-pillar side wall (1) and reinforcement (2)
(areas E).
- Inner C-pillar side wall (1)
(area C).
Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow to cool down in between. This reduces heat distortion.
- Grind inert gas weld down flat (area C).
Grind down flat only on beaded areas and contact surfaces of C-pillar.
- Drill inner C-pillar side wall (1) with Ø 7 mm bit one sheet metal thickness (area F).
- Weld in inner C-pillar side wall (1) with
(area F).
- Weld in inner C-pillar side wall (1) with
(area G).
Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow to cool down in between. This reduces heat distortion.
- Clean weld joints no longer accessible after installing C-pillar and rear fender and coat with zinc dust paint.
