5	Unscrew twelve-point collar nut (4) from rear axle shaft (14)	Replace twelve-point collar nut (4) and secure doubly.

7	Detach bracket (8) with left rear-axle rpm sensor (L6/3) or right rear-axle rpm sensor (L6/4) from wheel carrier (7) and place to one side with lines connected	Bolt, rpm sensor to wheel carrier	*BA42.30-P-1001-02K
8	Raise wheel carrier (7) using major assembly mount and support plate until rear axle shaft (14) is horizontal

		Tighten bolted connections of tie rod (9), thrust arm (10), camber strut (11) and strut rod (12) as well as torsion bar linkage (15), shock absorber (6) and spring control arm (13).

11	Detach camber strut (11) from wheel carrier (7)	Do not tighten the threaded connection yet.
12	Detach torque strut (12) from wheel carrier (7)	Do not tighten the threaded connection yet.
13	Detach torsion bar linkage (15) from spring control arm (13)	Do not tighten the threaded connection yet.
14	Detach shock absorber (6) from spring control arm (13).	Do not tighten the threaded connection yet.
15	Lower major assembly mount
16	Detach spring control arm (13) from wheel carrier (7)	Do not tighten the threaded connection yet.
17	Remove wheel carrier (7) with brake cover plate (18) and angular contact ball bearing with rear axle shaft flange (17) from rear axle shaft (14)
18	Detach angular contact ball bearing with rear axle shaft flange (17) from wheel carrier (7)	When replacing the angular contact ball bearing or the rear axle shaft flange.

19	Press rear axle shaft flange all way on up to end stop in the angular contact ball bearing	When replacing the wheel carrier (7).

		The new wheel carrier (7) is supplied with angular contact ball bearings only. The angular contact ball bearing need not be removed from the new wheel carrier (7).
20	Remove brake cover plate (18) from wheel carrier (7)	When replacing the wheel carrier (7).
