DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Slowly unscrew cap (1) on coolant expansion reservoir (2) and relieve overpressure    
2 Suction coolant out of coolant expansion reservoir (2) SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 2
3 Lift catch spring and detach coolant vent line (3) from coolant expansion reservoir (2)   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
4 Unclip coolant expansion reservoir (2) from rubber guides (4) and front guide    
5 Detach electrical lines (5) from coolant expansion reservoir (2)    
6 Release and detach electrical connection (7) at coolant level switch    
7 Detach coolant hose (6) on coolant expansion reservoir (2)    
8 Remove coolant expansion reservoir (2)    
INSPECT Check     
9 Check rubber guide (4) for wear and damage If a rubber guide (4) is worn or damaged

Replace rubber guide (4)
 
10 Install in the reverse order    
11 Pour in coolant   AR20.00-P-1142LW 
INSPECT Check     
12 Check engine cooling system for leaktightness   AR20.00-P-1010LW 
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
13 Carry out engine test run and check the engine cooling system for proper function and leaktightness
