Voice control system, general
The individual functions of the driver information system are called up and operated via the voice control system (VCS [SBS]). The VCS [SBS] is integrated in the head unit. The voice control system can be controlled by spelling out or entering complete words.
Voice control system function sequence
The VCS is switched-on on the right multifunction steering wheel button group and switched off on the left multifunction steering wheel button group.
The control signal of the left multifunction steering wheel button group and the control signal of the right multifunction steering wheel button group is forwarded as follows:

Head unit
Voice input takes place via the hands-free system microphone, which is connected via a direct line to the head unit. The words that are spoken are converted into an electrical signal by the hands-free system microphone and forwarded to the head unit.
