| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Adjust steering wheel (6) all the way upward | ||
| 2 | Disconnect ground line to battery | AR54.10-P-0003LW | |
| 3 | Insert Torx screwdriver (1) into openings (arrow) at right and left on the steering wheel (6) and push springs (2) towards the inside | ||
| 4 | Remove driver airbag (4) far enough from steering wheel (6) until electrical connector (3) is accessible | ||
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connector (3) and remove driver airbag (4) | ||
| 6 | Dispose of removed driver airbag (4) properly | When replacing the driver airbag (4). | |
| 7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 8 | Connect diagnostic system and check supplemental restraint system (SRS) | Model 205 Model 253 When replacing the driver airbag (4). |
