Remove/install circulation pump for low-temperature water circuit - AR09.41-P-6925NKE

DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Deactivate pre-climatisation with diagnostic system    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
    NOTES Deactivation is essential.
For non-observance the fan can otherwise begin to operate through external activation for pre-climatisation.
IMPORTANT Deactivate the pre-climatisation function in powertrain control unit (N127) using diagnostic system.
The respective diagnostic function can be found in the control unit view under the tab "Actuations" in the menu item "Pre-climatisation".
 
2 Clamp off coolant lines (3, 4)   AR09.41-P-6834NKE

    SPECIAL TOOL Clamp Figure
3 Unfasten clamps (1, 2) on heater circuit circulation pump (M91/6) and detach coolant lines (3, 4) IMPORTANT Collect flowing out coolant in a suitable container.  
4 Remove lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105NKB
5 Disconnect electrical connection (5) from heater circuit circulation pump (M91/6)    
6 Detach heater circuit circulation pump (M91/6) from holder (6)    
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Pour in coolant and bleed low-temperature circuit cooling system   AR20.00-P-1142-04AK

INSPECT Check     
9 Check low-temperature circuit cooling system for leaktightness   AR20.00-P-1010NKE
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10 Perform an engine test run; check cooling system low-temperature circuit for proper function
