6	Mask left and right side roof paneling with suitable adhesive tape
7	Unscrew nut (6) and remove rear gate (7)	On left and right side of panoramic roof.
8.1	Determine gap dimension (A) between rear glass cover and rear-end window (8)	MODEL 204.0/3 with CODE 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof)

9	Determine reference dimension (B) on left and right side of panoramic roof between guide rail (4) and guide strip (5) with vernier caliper and note	The reference dimension (B) must be determined precisely for installation. Otherwise the front glass roof cannot be guided correctly and the panoramic roof can be damaged.
10	Insert cutting wire with puller from window removal set through adhesive bead (9) on rear glass cover (1)	Position puller on left side of vehicle approx. 10 cm from the rear corner of the rear glass cover (1) and punch through circumferential adhesive bead (9) (arrow). Glass removal
	Risk of injury  from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows	Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.	AS67.00-Z-0004-01A
11	Cut out rear glass cover (1) with cutting wire and remove from panoramic roof frame (10)	On MODEL 204.2/9, MODEL 246 and MODEL 242 ensure that the seal (11) is not damaged when guiding the cutting wire. Do not cut between the rear glass cover (1) and the guide strips (5). The guide strips (5) remain on the rear glass cover (1). Helper required. Cup suction tool/suspension equipment (for window removal/installation) Glass removal

12	Prepare rear glass cover (1) for installation		AR77.21-P-0600-02CW
		Do not touch bonding surfaces on inside of rear glass cover (1) with bare fingers. The bonding surfaces should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.
		Glazing repair kit, 1-component adhesive, replaced by: A 221 670 81 01 Cup suction tool/suspension equipment (for window removal/installation)	*BR00.45-Z-1089-02A
13	Check seal (11) on panoramic roof frame (10), replace if necessary	MODEL 204.2/9 with CODE 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof) MODEL 242, 246 with CODE 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof)
14	Prepare panoramic roof frame (10) for installing rear glass cover (1)		AR77.21-P-0600-05CW
		Do not touch bonding surfaces on inside of rear glass cover (1) with bare fingers. The bonding surfaces should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.
		Glazing repair kit, 1-component adhesive, replaced by: A 221 670 81 01 Wet and dry vacuum cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1089-02A
15	Apply adhesive material to rear glass cover (1)		AR77.21-P-0600-03CW
		Do not touch bonding surfaces on inside of rear glass cover (1) with bare fingers. The bonding surfaces should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.
		Glazing repair kit, 1-component adhesive, replaced by: A 221 670 81 01 Cartridge gun, electric, and preheater.	*BR00.45-Z-1089-02A
16	Install rear glass cover (1)		AR77.21-P-0600-06CW
		It is absolutely necessary to observe the previously determined reference dimension (B) precisely. Otherwise the front glass roof cannot be guided correctly and the panoramic roof can be damaged. Use weights with large surfaces such as sandbags to put load on rear glass cover (1). Otherwise the rear glass cover (1) can be damaged. 0 Observe gap dimension (A). Helper required.
