Transfer Case

Transfer cases that are being subjected to engine induced torsional vibration many times will emit noise as a result. The noise is most noticeable when the vehicle is at rest and the engine is at low idle. This is especially true if the transfer case is used in a PTO operation. Many times this noise is mis-diagnosed as a bearing failure. If left unchecked may lead to broken or fretted gears, shafts and clutch hubs. Also affected are clutch collars, oil seals (leaks) and or loose yoke nuts.
