	Connect/disconnect
1	Turn transmitter key in EIS control unit to position "0" and remove	To prevent unintentional starting of the engine.
2	Open cable tie (1), remove electrical connection 1 for engine wiring harness (X26/46) on CDI control unit and disconnect	Expose the electrical wiring harness to engine until the pin assignment of the electrical plug coupling (2) can be recognized.
3	Attach adapter line (3) to the compression recorder (6)	The adapter line (3) with associated extension line can be taken from the electrical connection kit. Compression recorder	Figure

4	Connect adapter line (3) to pin 3 on electrical plug coupling (2)	Electrical connection set	Fig 2
5	Connect adapter line (4) with clip (5) to jump-start connection point connector (X4/43)	The adapter line (4) and terminal (5) with associated extension line can be taken from the electrical connection kit. Electrical connection set	Fig 2
	Crank engine

6	Actuate switch on compression recorder (6) to crank engine	Compression recorder	Figure
