- Scribe cut on floor (1) and cut (area A).

- Drill holes in floor (1) for plug welding (area B).

- Grind mating surfaces on floor (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding and drill shavings with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Coat inside of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not apply zinc dust paint to bonding surfaces. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur (areas C, D, E, F and G).
