Separate Front Floor In Cab Up To Firewall - Ar61.10-D-5720-01H

  1. Scribe cut on floor (1) and cut (area A).

    NOTES Do not cut too deeply. Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

  2. Expose spot welds on floor (1) and cut out (areas B, C, D, E and F).

  3. Expose spot welds on floor (1) and cut out (areas G, H, J and K).

    IMPORTANT Cut out spot welds through two panel thicknesses (area G).

  4. Heat floor (1) in crosshatched area with heat gun.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched area is bonded.

  5. Remove damaged floor (1).
  6. Remove floor section (1) in area of rear floor.

  7. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  8. Remove shavings and drill chips.
  9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not apply zinc dust paint to bonding surfaces. Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
