	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Open engine hood (1)
2	Unscrew bolt (arrow) from engine hood prop (3)	Support engine hood (1) Otherwise the engine hood (1) can damaged adjacent components or the engine hood (1) when falling down. Aid of helper required.

3	Mark position of hood hinge on engine hood (1).	Check gap and height offset of engine hood (1), adjust if necessary. ↓
		Adjust engine hood	AR88.40-D-3020H
4	Unscrew nuts (2) and remove engine hood (1)	Carefully lay down engine hood (1). Otherwise paint damage can occur. Aid of helper required. Repair paint damage on nuts (2) with suitable touch-up paint pen. When replacing engine hood (1) apply cavity wax for preservation after painting: ↓

5	Disassemble engine hood (1)	When replacing engine hood (1). When replacing engine hood (1) install detachable parts after painting:	AR88.40-D-3002H
6	Install in the reverse order
