Prepare Reinforcement And Panel Of B-Pillar In Area Of Lock Striker - SM63.20-D-0009-01A

Model 906.1 

1. Trial-fit B-pillar reinforcement (1) in installation position several times.
2. Remove B-pillar reinforcement (1).

   For reasons of clarity, the B-pillar is shown without the inner panel.

3. Mark holes on B-pillar panel.

   Dimensions: 

   a = 15 mm

   b = 35 mm

4. Drill holes in B-pillar panel with Ø 8 mm drill bit and deburr.
5. Position B-pillar reinforcement in installation position.
6. Transfer holes from B-pillar panel to B-pillar reinforcement.
7. Remove B-pillar reinforcement.
8. Drill holes in B-pillar reinforcement with Ø 3.7 mm drill bit.

9. Position B-pillar reinforcement in installation position.
10. Fasten B-pillar reinforcement temporarily with bolts (2).

    The B-pillar reinforcement must lie on the B-pillar panel without gaps.

11. Unscrew bolts (2).
12. Remove B-pillar reinforcement.
