Remove/install center console - AR68.20-P-2000W

MODEL 172.4

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Set selector lever to position "0" or gearshift lever to neutral position IMPORTANT Depending on vehicle equipment.  
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only with code (889) Keyless-Go.  
3 Unclip boot (2) from center console cover (3) SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 2
4 Open armrest cover (4)    
5 Unclip cover (5) SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 2
6 Remove cup holder (8) and insertion element (9) from stowage compartment (10) IMPORTANT Cup holder (8) only on vehicles with code (309) Cup holder.  
7 Remove bolts (6) Rechargeable drill/screwdriver
 
 
8 Unclip center console cover (3) from center console (1) and instrument panel (7) and lift until electrical connectors are accessible at the bottom of the center console cover (3)    
9 Disconnect electrical connectors at bottom of center console cover (3) and remove center console cover (3) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors depends on the equipment.  
10 Pull stowage compartment (10) out of center console (1) toward front and remove INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that stowage compartment (10) is seated correctly in center console (1).  
11 Remove insertion element (11)    
12 Unscrew nuts (12) Rechargeable drill/screwdriver
 
 
13 Unclip center console (1) in front area (arrows) on instrument panel (7) and lift until electrical connectors are accessible at bottom side of center console (1)    
14 Disconnect electrical connectors at bottom of center console (1) and remove center console (1) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors depends on the equipment.  
15 Install in the reverse order
