	Remove/install
1	Remove upper engine cover
2	Remove left engine air intake duct upstream of air filter	When removing the left charge air pipe (1).
3	Remove right engine air intake duct upstream of left air filter	When removing the right charge air pipe (1).
4	Unscrew screw/bolt (4) on left charge air pipe (1l) and remove clamp	When removing the left charge air pipe (1). Screw/bolt, charge air pipe to turbocharger	*BA09.41-P-1006-01R
5	Remove screw/bolt (4) on right charge air pipe (1l) and remove clamp	When removing the right charge air pipe (1). Screw/bolt, charge air pipe to turbocharger	*BA09.41-P-1006-01R
6	Remove screw/bolt (3) on left charge air pipe (1)	When removing the left charge air pipe (1).
7	Unscrew screw/bolt (3) at right charge air pipe (1r)	When removing the right charge air pipe (1r).
8	Unclip low-temperature circuit coolant line on left charge air cooler bracket	Engine 276.8 in model 172 When removing the left charge air pipe (1).
9	Unclip low-temperature circuit coolant line on right charge air cooler bracket	Engine 276.8 in model 172 When removing the right charge air pipe (1r).
10	Loosen clamps (2) on left charge air pipe (1)	When removing the left charge air pipe (1).
11	Loosen clamps (2) on right charge air pipe (1)	When removing the right charge air pipe (1r).
12	Detach left charge air pipe (1l) from left ATL and charge air cooler and pull out	When removing the left charge air pipe (1).
13	Detach right charge air pipe (1l) from right ATL and charge air cooler and pull out	When removing the right charge air pipe (1r).
14	Seal openings on charge air cooler and left ATL with protective cover	When removing the left charge air pipe (1). Set of protective caps	Fig 2
15	Seal openings on charge air cooler and right ATL with protective cover	When removing the right charge air pipe (1r). Set of protective caps	Fig 2
16	Detach boot (5) from left charge air pipe (1l)	When replacing the left charge air pipe (1).
17	Detach boot (5) from right charge air pipe (1l)	When replacing the right charge air pipe (1r).
	Check
18	Check clamps (2) of left charge air pipe (1l) for damage	When removing the left charge air pipe (1). If damage is present ↓ Replace clamps (2).
19	Check clamps (2) of right charge air pipe (1r) for damage	When removing the right charge air pipe (1r). If damage is present ↓ Replace clamps (2).
20	Check boot (5) of left charge air pipe (1l) for damage	When replacing the left charge air pipe (1). If damage is present ↓ Replace boots (5).
21	Check boots (5) of right charge air pipe (1r) for damage	When replacing the right charge air pipe (1r). If damage is present ↓ Replace boots (5).
22	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
23	Carry out an engine test run, checking the engine for proper operation and leaktightness
