	Remove/install
1	Switch off all electrical consumers	All electrical consumers must be switched off. Otherwise electrical consumers may be damaged when disconnecting/connecting the ground line (2, 4, 7).
2	Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside transmitter range (at least 2 m)
3	Open engine hood	Model 222.004/057/104/157/163 Due to the open engine hood contact switches, the pre-entry climate control is deactivated thereby ensuring that current cannot flow in the 12-V on-board electrical system.
