DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove detachable parts in area to be repaired    
2 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle with spark protection blanket    
3 Remove rear fender Model 217.3 AR63.50-P-1400LC

5 Remove bottom rear center section with rear crossmember   AR64.20-P-1060LF 
6 Partially remove side longitudinal member paneling Model 222

IMPORTANT Remove only rear section of longitudinal member paneling up to approx. start of B-pillar.

7 Set up straightening bench with straightening set    
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 01 23 00 Body straightening system IMPORTANT Observe set-up plans provided. WS60.00-P-0023K
8 Place vehicle on straightening bench and fasten    
9 Remove rear longitudinal member (1) Model 217.3

    IMPORTANT When replacing rear longitudinal member (1), also replace rear crossmember (2), floor (3), front crossmember (4), longitudinal member outer shell (5), reinforcement (6) and longitudinal member inner panel (7).

INSTALLING Install     
DANGER The high voltage used for electric welding presents a lethal hazard. Risk of explosion  from welding in areas close to highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  from weld splatter and UV-light when welding. Risk of poisoning  from inhaling welding gases Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly flammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling vapors or swallowing adhesive. Risk of injury  caused by adhesive coming into contact with skin and eyes Wear respiratory protection, protective gloves and safety glasses. Pour adhesive into suitable and appropriately marked containers only. AS00.00-Z-0016-01A
