	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key
2	Push down brake pedal several times	In order to reduce the vacuum in the brake booster.
3	Remove the left cover in the engine compartment
4	Remove left intake air duct
5	Release and disconnect the electrical connection (2) of the electrical vacuum pump (1)
6	Remove electrical connection (4)
7	Remove retaining clip (3)
8	Unscrew both screws/bolts (5) from bracket (7) of the electrical vacuum pump (1)	Model 222.163 with engine 276.8 Screw/bolt, electrical vacuum pump to bracket	*BA43.05-P-1005-01K
9	Release the vacuum line (6) from the electrical vacuum pump (1) and simultaneously pull the electrical vacuum pump (1) off to the rear
10	Remove the electrical vacuum pump (1) from bracket (7)	Check decoupling bearing (8) of the electrical vacuum pump (1) for correct seating.
11	Install in the reverse order
12	Reset runtime status of the electrical vacuum pump using the diagnostic system	When replacing the electrical vacuum pump

13	Read fault memory and erase if necessary	When replacing the electrical vacuum pump
			AD00.00-P-2000-04B
