Settings on workshop level, function - GF54.30-P-2020GR

MODEL 166 up to model year 2016 

Function requirements, general 

IMPORTANT The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) sends the status of circuit 15 over chassis CAN 2 (CAN E2) to the instrument cluster (A1).

Workshop level adjustments, general 

The workshop level is used by technicians in the workshop for reading out vehicle and service data and provides assistance with carrying out the service.

The "Workshop level" menu is activated as follows:

The display in the multifunction display (A1p13) changes to the workshop level. It is possible to scroll between the respective menus and submenus or through the different lists by pressing the scroll forward/back button (S110s1). Selection is then made by pressing the OK button.

The steering wheel electronics (N135) read in the control signals from the multifunction steering wheel button group directly and sends them via the steering LIN (LIN E1) to the steering column tube module control unit (N80). The steering column tube module control unit sends the control signals for the multifunction steering wheel button groups over chassis CAN 1 (CAN E1), the electronic ignition lock control unit and chassis CAN 2 to the instrument cluster.

The following menus are accessible:

"Vehicle data" menu 

The following data can be called up in the vehicle data menu:

"Dynamometer test" menu 

Activating the dynamometer test prevents faults from being entered in the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) during the brake test on the roller dynamometer.

The following settings can be selected in the dynamometer menu:

IMPORTANT If the workshop menu is left and the menu "Dynamometer test" was not deactivated prior to this, it will be automatically called up during the next ignition cycle.

"Change brake lining" menu 

In the "Change brake lining" menu, the following settings can be selected:

"ASSYST PLUS" menu 

The following data can be called up in the ASSYST PLUS menu:

IMPORTANT After a service is performed, the service interval is reset in this menu.
