Function requirements, general
- Circuit 15R ON
The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) transmits the status of circuit 15 via chassis CAN 2 (CAN E2) to the instrument cluster (A1).
Workshop level adjustments, general
The workshop level is used by technicians in the workshop for reading out vehicle and service data and provides assistance with carrying out the service.
The "Workshop level" menu is activated as follows:
- Select "Trip" menu.
- Press right button of accept and end phone call button (S111s3) then press the O.K. button. (S110s6) at the same time for t > 3 s.
The display in the multifunction display (A1p13) changes to the workshop level. By pressing the scroll forward/back button (S110s1) in the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110), it is possible to change between the respective menus and submenus or to scroll through various lists. Selection is then made by pressing the OK button.
The steering wheel electronics (N135) directly reads in the control signals from the multifunction steering wheel button group and sends these via the steering LIN (LIN E1) to the steering column tube module control unit (N80). The steering column tube module control unit transmits these via chassis CAN 1 (CAN E1), electronic ignition lock control unit and chassis CAN 2 to the instrument cluster.
The following menus are accessible:
- "Vehicle data" menu
- "Dynamometer test" menu
- "Change brake pad" menu
- "ASSYST PLUS" menu
"Vehicle data" menu
The following data can be called up in the vehicle data menu:
- Voltage (in V) and amp draw (in A) in on-board electrical system
- Data from instrument cluster (e.g. version numbers, software releases)
- Engine data (e.g. engine number)
- Vehicle identification number (VIN)
- Status of high-voltage system (with CODEME05 (HYBRID DRIVE 80KW VARIANT (INCLUDING PLUG-IN)))
Status of high-voltage system, de-energized
Display for:
- Circuit 15R ON
- Irrespective of interlock circuit status
- Circuit 15 ON
- Interrupted interlock circuit (fault)
- Successful power disconnect of high-voltage on-board electrical system
Status of high-voltage system, not de-energized
Display for:
- Circuit 15R ON
- Fault in high-voltage on-board electrical system
- Circuit 15 ON
- High voltage on-board electrical system operational (no faults)
- Unsuccessful power disconnect of high-voltage on-board electrical system
"Dynamometer test" menu
Activating the dynamometer test prevents faults being entered in the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) during the brake test on the roller dynamometer.
The following settings can be selected in the dynamometer menu:
- "On"
- "Off with terminal 15 OFF
If the workshop menu is left and the menu "Dynamometer test" was not deactivated prior to this, it will be automatically called up during the next ignition cycle.
"Change brake pad" menu
In the "Change brake pad" menu, the following settings can be selected:
- "OK"
- "Move to assembly position"
"ASSYST PLUS" menu
The following data can be called up in the ASSYST PLUS menu:
- Service data
- Full service
- "Vehicle handover" (nonrecurring display prior to handover to customer: If function not performed by dealer the display is automatically hidden after s = 250 km)
After a service is performed, the service interval is reset in this menu.
