Remove/install exhaust manifold with catalytic converter - AR14.10-P-4095EL

	Remove/install
1	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105EW
	Removal of the left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l)
2	Remove left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l) from bracket (3) on transmission		AR49.10-P-7100EL
3	Remove EGR line (5) on left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l)	Replace seal.
		Clamp on EGR line and exhaust gas recirculation valve	*BA14.20-P-1002-01M
4	Remove NOx storage catalytic converter clamp screw/bolts on left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l)		AR49.10-P-7100EL
5	Remove front engine cover
6	Remove ME-SFI [ME] control unit		AR07.08-P-7008EL
7	Disconnect electrical connection (6) from engine wiring harness (2)
8	Unclip engine wiring harness (2) on vacuum reservoir (7)
9	Remove vacuum reservoir (7)	Bolt, vacuum reservoir to bracket	*BA43.05-P-1002-01K
10	Unclip electrical connectors (9) from bracket and disconnect		AR07.52-P-5303EL
11	Unclip engine wiring harness (2) on shield (10)
12	Remove left oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G33)		AR07.52-P-5303EL
13	Remove lower steering coupling from lower steering shaft		AR46.10-P-8000EW
14	Remove shield (10) together with bracket (11) and remove upwards; to this remove screw/bolts (11s)		AR07.08-P-7008EL
		Only 4 screw/bolts (11s) need to be removed; separation of the bracket (11) and the shield (10) is not required.
15	Unscrew nuts (1s) from left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l)	Tightening procedure for exhaust manifold Observe tightening procedure for exhaust manifold.	AR14.10-P-3000-01MM
		Nut, exhaust manifold to cylinder head	*BA14.10-P-1001-01E
16	Remove left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l) upwards	Replace seal and check stud for damage; replace if necessary.
17	Remove left oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter	When replacing the left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l).

18	Install in the reverse order
	Removal of the right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1l)
19	Remove right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1r) from bracket (3) on transmission		AR49.10-P-7100EL
20	Remove EGR line (5) on right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1r)	Replace seal.
		Clamp on EGR line and exhaust gas recirculation valve	*BA14.20-P-1002-01M
21	Remove NOx storage catalytic converter clamp screw/bolts on right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1r)		AR49.10-P-7100EL
22	Remove air filter housing	Bolt, air filter to cylinder head cover	*BA09.10-P-1001-01M
		Bolt, air filter to air intake pipe support brace	*BA09.10-P-1002-01M
23	Unclip electrical connectors (9) from oxygen sensor from bracket and disconnect		AR07.52-P-5303EL
24	Unclip electrical line (13) at shield (10)
25	Remove shield (10) on right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1r)
26	Unscrew nuts (1s) on right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1r)	Tightening procedure for exhaust manifold Observe tightening procedure for exhaust manifold.	AR14.10-P-3000-01MM
		Nut, exhaust manifold to cylinder head	*BA14.10-P-1001-01E
27	Remove right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1r) upwards	Replace seal and check stud for damage; replace if necessary.
28	Remove oxygen sensor on the right upstream of catalytic converter and oxygen sensor on the right downstream of catalytic converter	When replacing the right exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1r).

29	Install in the reverse order
	Check
30	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of all components of the exhaust system
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
