Oil line removal and installation - AR18.30-P-6850GQC

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 166 AR88.40-P-1000GQ
ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 251 AR88.40-P-1000RT
2 Remove partition wall between wheel wells ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 251  
AR62.30-P-2400RT
3 Remove upper engine cover    
  Perform operation step 3 to 5 for removal of the left (1L) or right (1R) oil line feed line     
4 Remove left or right air filter housing   AR09.10-P-1150GQC
5 Detach left or right soundproofing over injectors    
6 Detach left (1L) or right (1R) oil lines feed line from turbocharger and cylinder crankcase IMPORTANT Seal openings with suitable stop plug.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new sealing rings.
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil feed line to turbocharger *BA09.40-P-1004-01W 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil feed line to cylinder head *BA09.40-P-1005-01W 
SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
  Perform operation step 6 to 10 for removal of the left (2L) or right (2R) oil line return line     
7 Remove left and right engine air intake ducts   AR09.10-P-1150GQC
8 Detach charge air cooler (3) at both charge air pipes and on throttle plate actuator and place with attached coolant lines to one side and secure against falling down   AR09.41-P-6819GQC
9 Detention poly-V belt and detach at the alternator (G2) or A/C compressor (A9) ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 166 AR13.20-P-0001GQC

10.1 Detach alternator (G2), place with attached lines to one side and secure against falling down To remove the left oil line return flow (2L)

10.2 Detach A/C compressor (A9), place with attached lines to one side and secure against falling down To remove the right oil line return flow (2R)  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, refrigerant compressor to timing case/crankcase/engine support *BA83.55-P-1001-01M 
11 Detach left (2L) or right (2R) oil lines return line from turbocharger and cylinder crankcase INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new sealing rings.
IMPORTANT Seal openings with suitable stop plug.
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil return flow line to turbocharger *BA09.40-P-1006-01W 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil return line to crankcase *BA09.40-P-1007-01W 
SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
12 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
13 Check engine oil level; correct if necessary    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 166 AP18.00-P-0101GQ 
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 251 AP18.00-P-0101W
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14 Carry out an engine test run, checking the engine for proper operation and leaktightness
