1	Move front seats forward and up
2	Loosen two rear screws/bolts at front seats
3	Move front seats toward rear
4	Remove front two screws/bolts to front seats
5	Remove front door sills	The front door sills are no longer required.
6	Remove paneling at bottom of left and right A-pillar
7	Remove accelerator pedal		AR30.12-P-1321CW
8	Remove driver-side floor covering and passenger-side floor covering
9	Unclip and remove cover (7)
10	Disconnect ground line of battery		AR54.10-P-0003CW
11	Detach left front SAM control unit with fuse and relay box and place to one side with lines connected	In vehicles as of 2.6.09	AR54.21-P-1260CW
	Install
12	Retrofit illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) and power supply wiring harness (4) with illuminated door sill molding control unit (5) and converter (6)	On vehicles up to 1.6.09 with interior fuse box	AZ82.20-P-0001-04CYA
		On vehicles as of 2.6.09 without interior fuse box	AZ82.20-P-0001-04CYB

13	Connect power supply wiring harness (4)	On vehicles up to 1.6.09 with interior fuse box	AZ82.20-P-0001-02CY

14	Install cover (7)
15	Install left front SAM control unit with fuse and relay box	In vehicles as of 2.6.09	AR54.21-P-1260CW
16	Install driver-side floor covering and passenger-side floor covering, in the process routing illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) upwards between driver-side floor covering or passenger-side floor covering and longitudinal member	The illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) is connected to the illuminated door sill moldings (1) at a later point.
17	Install accelerator pedal		AR30.12-P-1321CW
18	Install paneling at bottom of left and right A-pillar
19	Install illuminated door sill moldings (1)		AZ82.20-P-0001-01CY
20	Remove protective foil from panels (3) and glue down panels (3) in vicinity of illuminated door sill moldings (1) as shown	Ensure that panels (3) do not slip, as vehicle paintwork may otherwise be damaged.
21	Connect ground cable to battery		AR54.10-P-0003CW
22	Screw in screws/bolts at front seats	Adjust front seats accordingly to ensure accessibility.

23	Perform function test of illuminated door sill moldings (1)
24	Document retrofitted equipment via vehicle documentation (VeDoc)	Attach "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0001CYA " note under field organization texts to design group 68.
