REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well-ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A
NOTES Procedure for a damaged or leaky air conditioning system All models AH83.30-N-0004-01A
IMPORTANT Protect air conditioning circuit and components from moisture when carrying out repair work   AH83.30-N-0005-01A

1 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.  
2 Drain, evacuate and recharge air conditioning, check for proper operation and check for leaks   AR83.30-P-1760CW 
3 Remove front bumper MODEL 166.0 AR88.20-P-2000GQ
4 Remove bolt (1)    
IMPORTANT Notes on calculating tightening torque when using insertion tool with various effective lengths.   AH00.00-P-0015-01CW
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, fluid reservoir to condenser *BA83.30-P-1002-01J

5 Unscrew bolt (2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut/bolt, high-pressure line to fluid reservoir *BA83.30-P-1001-01J 
6 Pull out pressure lines (3)    
7 Remove fluid reservoir (4) NOTES
Ensure that the new fluid reservoir (4) is installed and the entire refrigerant circuit closed within 20 minutes after opening the package at the latest.
Otherwise the function of the fluid reservoir (4) can no longer be ensured.
IMPORTANT On model 166.8, guide out fluid reservoir through right opening at bumper. Cover area at bumper with a rag.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The packaging of the new fluid reservoir (4) must not be damaged. Use new fluid reservoir (4).
 
8 Immediately close off openings of refrigerant lines and fluid reservoir (4) with stop plugs NOTES
Plug refrigerant lines.
Ingress of dirt and moisture can damage components.

9 Install in the reverse order
