Remove/install retaining lock for crankshaft/ring gear - AR03.30-P-5000OGR

	Install/remove
1	Remove respective section of the underfloor paneling		AR61.30-P-1001GQ
2	Remove cover (1)	TRANSMISSION 722.9 in MODEL 166.0/8 with ENGINE 642.826	*BA27.40-P-1008-01A
3	Remove upper engine cover	Ensure correct seating of the engine cover.
4	Unclip pipework for Active Roll Stabilization on impact plate	When rotating the engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft and for vehicles with CODE 468 (Active driving stability (roll stability)) The impact plate is installed in front of the belt drive.
5	Remove impact plate	For rotating the engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft
	Check
6	Check splines of ring gear for drive plate	Check splines for wear and damage by rotating engine at the center bolt for crankshaft in its direction of rotation. Replace clutch plate if necessary. ENGINE 642.826 in MODEL 166.0/8	AR03.30-P-8001OGR

7	Insert retaining lock (2) in the opening	Allow retaining lock (2) to engage into ring gear; crank engine at central screw of the crankshaft in direction of rotation of engine if necessary.
