Remove/install brake booster vacuum line - AR43.10-P-0355GQ

MODEL 166 with ENGINE 276, 278, 642, 651

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Notes on avoiding damage through contamination and foreign objects   AH00.00-P-5000-01A
1 Switch off ignition    
2 Eliminate vacuum in BAS brake booster (A7/7) IMPORTANT To do this, press the brake pedal several times with the engine switched off.  
3 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position   AR88.40-P-1000GQ
4 Detach vacuum line (1a) and vacuum line with check valve (1b) If necessary
IMPORTANT The vacuum line (1a) and vacuum line with check valve (1b) can be detached at the connecting point (2) and separately removed.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check O-rings for condition and correct seating, replace if necessary.
 
  Remove vacuum line with check valve (1b)     
5 Remove cover over left suspension strut tower    
6 Remove cover (3) of cable duct    
7 Detach vacuum line with check valve (1b) from BAS brake booster (A7/7) and remove INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new gasket  
  Remove vacuum line (1a)     
8 Remove upper engine cover Engine 278, 642, 651  
9 Detach vacuum hose (4) from vacuum line (1a) Engine 642  
10.1 Unlock vacuum line (1a) and pull off vacuum pump (5) Engine 276, 278, 642  
10.2 Release vacuum line (1a) and detach from fitting behind vacuum reservoir Engine 651  
11 Release vacuum line (1a) and detach from intake manifold Engine 278  
12 Pull vacuum line (1a) out of brackets and remove    
13 Install in the reverse order    
14 Carry out brake test on the test stand   AP42.00-P-4290BA
