	Checking
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush  or, in extreme cases, even sever extremities	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
1	Switch off ignition
2	Raise vehicle using vehicle lift until the wheels are clear of the ground		AR00.60-P-1000GZ
3	Check boots (1g)	Do not check the bellows (1g) by pressing in or around the raised bead. Damage and leakages can occur to the sealing and bearing surfaces otherwise with consequential damage. Stretch the boots (1g) by turning the steering onto left and right lock, check for cracks, holes, intrusions and chafe marks. If problems exist: ↓ Replace bellows (1g):

4	Check boots and ball joints of tie rod ends (10l)	Check boots for condition, leaks and correct seating. Check joints for play by pulling and pushing the tie rod ends (10l) firmly. If problems exist: ↓ Replace tie rod end (10l):
