MODEL 240
Location of pneumatic-hydraulic components
- Depressurize AIRmatic components (air suspension struts, valve unit, central reservoir) before removal using STAR DIAGNOSIS, if necessary discharge entire system. The components or the entire system must not be discharged by unscrewing pressure lines!
- Soiled pressure line connections must be cleaned before unscrewing. Do not use any cleaning agents/solvents, as they can damage the pressure lines. Seal off the pressure lines and the connections on the components immediately with blind plugs.
- Only use flare nut wrenches or special tools to unscrew the pressure lines.
- Removed or slackened off suspension struts may not be filled with compressed air and they must not be pushed together!
- The suspension struts must not be loaded (no spring motion) between installation of the suspension struts and the time when the system is filled.
- Before driving onto car washes, pits and lifting platforms adjust a higher vehicle level at the vehicle level push-button. A high level is reached when "Vehicle rising!" message is deleted from the multifunction display and the indicator lamp in the vehicle level button goes on.
- If the vehicle is idle for a longer time, position the wheels straightahead, as any pressure loss occurring in the system can lead to lowering of the vehicle.
