Notes on working on natural gas powered vehicles - AH00.10-P-1000-06A

Personnel requirements: 

As a prerequisite to testing, testing personnel must be qualified and competent to perform leak testing as per the country-specific regulations and laws (possessing at least a certificate or proof of competence for gaseous fuel vehicles).

IMPORTANT All work on the natural gas system may only be performed by personnel specially trained to do so. The relevant working instruction must be carefully studied before commencing any work.

Notes and information: 

To ensure that the natural gas system and its components function properly, and that any damage to people and components is avoided, all notes and information must be observed.

NOTES Safety information regarding the handling of natural gas vehicles must be adhered to.

Personal injury and/or damage to equipment and environmental damage can occur otherwise.

NOTES Ensure that the working environment is a clean one when assembling natural gas system components.

Hair or clothing fluff can lead to leaks in the natural gas system. Therefore, never clean the sealing materials or the seats on natural gas system components using a cloth or fabric.

IMPORTANT The compressed-gas tanks must not be fully emptied before removal, because when replacing components in the natural gas system a residual quantity of natural gas is required to enable a leak test to be performed. The natural gas pressure must be > 20 bar.
