Remove/install front engine mount and/or engine support - AR22.10-P-1260OMA

Vehicles with a switchable engine mount at the front 

REMOVING Remove     
1 Secure vehicle on vehicle lift ENGINE 651 in MODEL 204 (except 204.9), 207 AR00.60-P-0100CW
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 212 with TRANSMISSION 711, 716, 722 (except 722.96)
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 218		 AR00.60-P-0100EWS
MODEL 221.0/1 with ENGINE 651 AR00.60-P-0100SX
2 Remove cylinder head cover trim    
3 Put on engine hoist ENGINE 651 in MODEL 204 (except 204.9), 207 AR33.10-P-0105CW
MODEL 212 with ENGINE 651 with TRANSMISSION 711, 716, 722 (except 722.96)
MODEL 218 with ENGINE 651		 AR33.10-P-0105EW
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 221 AR33.10-P-0105SX
4.1 Remove bottom sections of soundproofing ENGINE 651 in MODEL 204 (except 204.9), 207, 218
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 212 with TRANSMISSION 711, 716, 722 (except 722.96)

4.2 Remove lower engine compartment paneling ENGINE 651 in MODEL 221

  Remove/install engine mount (21) at the front     
5 Remove catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit ENGINE 651 in MODEL 204 (except 204.9), 207, 218, 221
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 212 with TRANSMISSION 711, 716, 722 (except 722.96)
Only for removal of the right engine mount (21) at the front.

6 Disconnect electrical connections (24) and expose electrical lines For vehicles with front switchable engine mounts (21)  
7 Remove screw/bolts (22, 23) TORQUE SPECIFICATION

9 Carefully lift engine with lifting device until the front engine mount (21) can be removed    
10 Take out engine mount (21) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT In the case of damage, always replace engine mount (21) in pairs.  
11 Installation of the front engine mount (21) in reverse order    
  Remove/install left engine support (9)     
12 Remove mixing chamber   AR09.20-P-1320CD
13 Undo screw/bolts (1) and remove bracket (2) ENGINE 651 in MODEL 204 (except 204.9), 207
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 212 with TRANSMISSION 711, 716, 722 (except 722.96)		  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION

14 Remove screw/bolts (3); place bracket (4) with electrical lines to one side TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, bracket for electric switchover valves to fastening plate *BA09.41-P-1006-01N 
15 Remove screw/bolts (5) and remove mounting plate (6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Charge air manifold fastening plate bolt on engine support *BA09.41-P-1005-01N 
16 Remove refrigerant compactor and lay down to the side with connected refrigerant lines   AR83.55-P-5300CD
IMPORTANT Secure A/C compactor to prevent it from falling down.  
17 Remove screw/bolt (7) from above TORQUE SPECIFICATION

18 Carefully lift engine with an engine hoist.    
19 Remove screw/bolts (8) and remove left engine support (9) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, engine support to crankcase *BA22.10-P-1001-02A 
20 Installation of the left engine support (9) in reverse order    
  Remove/install engine support on the right (20)     
21 Remove screw/bolts (11) and shield (12) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, heat shield to engine support *BA22.10-P-1003-02A 
22 Remove screw/bolts (13) and bracket (14) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, turbocharger bracket to engine support/major assembly carrier *BA09.40-P-1008-01P 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, alternator to major assembly carrier *BA15.40-P-1004-01Q 
23 Remove screw/bolts (15, 16) and bracket (17) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, rear/center turbocharger bracket to turbocharger *BA09.40-P-1002-01P 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, rear/center turbocharger bracket to cylinder crankcase *BA09.40-P-1003-01P 
24 Remove screw/bolt (18) from above TORQUE SPECIFICATION

27 Installation of the right engine support (20) in reverse order
