Potential risks 

Risk of explosion 

Acetone is highly volatile and forms an explosive vapor/air mixture at room temperatures.

Risk of poisoning 

Inhaling acetone vapors  may result in irritation of mucous membranes and headaches.

In high doses  this can lead to increased saliva production, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and unconsciousness.

Swallowing acetone  can result in symptoms of poisoning such headaches, increased saliva production, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and unconsciousness.

Risk of injury 

After contact with the eyes: danger of corneal opacity.
