	Remove/install

2	Switch off ignition and remove ignition key
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

5	Undo nuts (1), and lift ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) out of threaded bolt and remove towards front-passenger footwell	Pull out both electrical connectors (2).
6	Remove ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3)	Installation  : If a new ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) is installed, the coding information of the old ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) must be transferred to the new ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) using STAR DIAGNOSIS.
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Deactivate service mode in TELE AID emergency call system	Only with code ET2 TeleAid car phone emergency call system	AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

9	Read out fault memory and erase	Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
10	Perform a function test
11	Perform basic programming		AR00.19-P-0200P
