| 1 | Release rear seat and fold forward | ||
| 2 | Remove covering caps (2) | ||
| 3 | Disconnect left rear seat heater electrical connector (X54/23) or right rear seat heater electrical connector (X54/24) | ||
| Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed when working on gas-filled struts under tension | Only remove or install gas-operated struts when device is in stress-relieved position and components are in proper working order and correctly secured. | AS00.00-Z-0012-01A | |
| 4 | Unlock and remove pin (4) of pneumatic spring (3) | ||
| 5 | Detach clamp (7) and remove pin (5) | ||
| 6 | Remove rear seat | ||
| 7 | Remove rear seat mounting console (6) | If necessary | |
